COACH'S THOUGHTS
"We had a great start, 8-0 run to open the game," said Head Coach Tyler Sanborn. "They shifted to zone defensively after a forced timeout, and unfortunately, we were not able to make shots and they did. In the second half, we didn't change much schematically, but we were able to make some of the shots we missed in the first half and we fought back into the game. I'm proud of our guys for never quitting, we were down big and we kept chipping away. I hope moving forward we won't allow our offensive output to affect our defensive effort. We have to mature in that aspect."
NEXT GAME
Sanborn's team will be back in action Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Averett University. The USA South contests gets underway at 7:30 p.m. in Danville, Virginia.
