The Ferrum Fitness Center was built in the mid-1990s and was originally known as the Ferrum Fitness Center. The facility houses a gymnasium with two full basketball courts and a walk-draw curtain that can separate the gym into two sections. Intramural sports use the Ferrum Fitness Center for volleyball and basketball.
The facility also has a fitness room, complete with cardio equipment and free weights, two racketball courts, recreation area with ping pong and foosball tables, men's and women's locker rooms, a classroom, storage, offices and restrooms.
Ferrum athletic teams utilize the Ferrum Fitness Center for practices during inclement weather, and the wrestling teams have hosted tournaments here. Other Ferrum events that have been held in the Ferrum Fitness Center include dinners, charity events and concerts.
