Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
The SAAC is a group of student-athletes who help provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses. Presently, there are separate national SAACs for NCAA Divisions I, II and III. NCAA legislation mandates that all member institutions have SAAC's on their respective campuses. Further, NCAA legislation requires that all member conferences have SAAC's.

Purpose of Ferrum SAAC
Ferrum College's Student-Athlete Committee is an organization composed of student-athletes who serve as a liaison between the student-athletes and the Athletic Department. The purpose of SAAC is to cultivate leadership among our student-athletes and have them involved within the Ferrum Community through a variety of service programs and events. SAAC representatives provide insight on how to improve the student-athlete experience at Ferrum.

Old Dominion Athletic Conference SAAC
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference SAAC Committee is comprised of student-athletes from each member institution. These student-athletes have the opportunity to represent the ODAC as a part of the Division III SAAC Committee. Ferrum's ODAC representative is Breanna Weaver.
