Box Score FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College picked up an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) football win over Shenandoah University, winning 24-23 on a last-minute field goal this afternoon at W.B. Adams Stadium during Homecoming Weekend.

THE BASICS
Shenandoah scored early on a 74-yard touchdown pass from Brant Butler to Caleb Reedy at 9:59 of the first quarter. Patrick Richie then had field goals of 34 and 23 yards to give Shenandoah a 13-0 lead at 4:00 of the second quarter
Tmahdae Penn hauled in a Titus Jones pass with 2:28 left in the half and scampered into the end zone for a 71-yard score to trim the lead to 13-7 at the break.
Jones opened second half scoring with a four-yard touchdown run to put Ferrum on top 14-13 at 5:52 of the third. Rashadeen Byrd's three-yard TD run at 2:20 of the third to put the Hornets back out in front 20-14.
Penn scored his second touchdown of the day at 6:03 of the third on a 48-yard catch from Jones to give Ferrum a 21-20 lead. Penn's two scores today give him nine for the season, a new Ferrum record for single season touchdown receptions.
Shenandoah drove 65 yards in 11 plays to set up and convert a Richie 24-yard field goal that gave the Hornets the lead back at 23-21 with 1:47 left to play. Ferrum took over on its own 20 yard line and drove to the Shenandoah 18, where Seth Deaton split the uprights from 35 yards out for the game winner with three seconds left in regulation.
