Box Score FERRUM, Virginia -- Greensboro College had five players score in double digits in beating Ferrum College 94-54 in non-conference women's basketball action tonight at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
The two teams played evenly early on in Ferrum's home opener, with Greensboro taking a 18-17 lead at the end of the first quarter. Jacy Marvin had 10 points in the opening period for the Panthers, including a pair of three-pointers.
The Pride expanded their lead to six points in the second half, but Ferrum closed the gap to four points, 34-30, at the break.
Greensboro used a 9-0 run to open the third quarter and take control of the game, then closed the quarter with a 64-41 lead. The Pride then outscored Ferrum 30-13 in the fourth quarter to close out the game.
Marvin closed with a game-high 21 points on 5-11 shooting, including three baskets from behind the arc. Rookie DeMeisha Canada registered her first career double-double, posting 11 points and 10 rebounds. In two games thus far, Canada is averaging 12.5 rebounds per game.
