Box Score ATLANTA, Georgia -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference women's basketball game today to East Texas Baptist University at the Emory Tip-Off Classic, falling 75-42 at Emory University's Woodruff Physical Education Center.
East Texas Baptist is ranked #2 in the nation among NCAA Division III women's basketball programs in the D3hoops.com 2021-22 preseason poll. The Tigers finished with a 25-1 record a year ago.

THE BASICS
East Texas Baptist saw 15 different players score in today's game. The Tigers opened a 9-0 lead to start the game and never trailed. DeMeisha Canada grabbed the rebound off a missed Kayla Cabiness layup and stuck it back for the Panthers' first points of the game at 6:37 of the first quarter to cut the lead to 9-2.
ETBU went on an 11-2 run to make it a 20-4 game with 1:24 left in the opening quarter, then closed the quarter with a 25-6 lead. The Tigers expanded the lead to 39-11 at halftime, then 61-27 after three quarters.
Ferrum outscored East Texas Baptist 15-14 in the fourth quarter, with Cameron Hawkins hitting four points on a jumper and a layup. Kaira Williams' three-pointer, Canada and Camille Mangum each with a layup, Cabiness with a pair of free throws and Sadavia Felder with a jumper.
