LYNCHBURG, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball road game to University of Lynchburg tonight, falling 87-65 at Turner Gymnasium.

THE BASICS
The Hornets took control in the first quarter, leading 26-7. The Hornets Sammi Sever had nine points in the first quarter along with Sarah Johnson having three rebounds.

Lynchburg expanded their lead to eight points in the second quarter, Kayla Cabiness had six points in the second quarter as The Panthers tried to even out the score. DeMeisha Canada followed with 3 rebounds.

The two teams played pretty evenly in the Third quarter with Kayla Cabiness adding 17 points onto the scoreboard. Leaving the score 70-46 with Lynchburg having a 24 point lead.

Cabiness closed with 29 points, including five baskets from behind the arc. Aisha Martin followed with 17 points and Cameron Hawkins with 10 points. DeMeisha Canada cleaned up on the glass with 11 rebounds.
