HARRISONBURG, Virginia -- Ferrum College picked up a an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball road win over Eastern Mennonite University, winning 65-52 tonight at Yoder Arena.

THE BASICS
The Panthers held a slim 26-23 lead at the break, but exploded for 23 points in the third quarter to grab a 49-37 lead heading into the fourth. Kayla Cabiness' layup with 2:34 left in the third gave Ferrum its largest lead at 49-30.

Eastern Mennonite was able to get within eight points in the fourth quarter, 54-46, on Trinity Price's jumper with 5:48 left to play.

Cameron Hawkins was fouled and converted a pair of free throws with 2:29 left in regulation to get the lead back back up to 12 points at 63-51. Hawkins' stat line for the game included 20 points and 14 rebounds, both game-high totals.

"Great road win tonight. I thought we did a good job of attacking their zone and getting quality shots, especially in the third quarter. They picked up their pressure in the fourth quarter and we struggled at times, but settled down and finished strong. We need to keep stacking good practices together and getting better.
