Box Score FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) football game tonight at home to Bridgewater College, falling 26-16 at W.B. Adams Stadium.

THE BASICS
The Eagles struck quickly after returning the opening kickoff to just inside the Panthers' five yard line, then punching it in for a 6-0 lead less than a minute into the game. Ferrum clawed its way back, with Titus Jones finding the end zone on a two-yard run with 12 seconds left in the first quarter and Ferrum had a 7-6 lead.
Kyle Stevens extended the lead to 10-7 when he split the uprights from 18 yards out at 5:23 of the second quarter. Demetreus Jalepes helped the Eagles take the lead back, scoring on a one-yard run with 24 seconds left in the first half and Bridgewater led 13-10 at the break.
Noah Beckley, who closed the game out with 96 yards on nine rushes, hit Derrick Jenkins with a 33-yard touchdown pass at 13:30 of the third quarter to extend the lead to 20-10. On Ferrum's ensuing drive, Bridgewater blocked a punt deep in Ferrum territory and returned it for a score to push the lead to 26-10.
Jones closed things out with a 12-yard scoring strike to Tmahdae Penn at 6:08 of the fourth quarter. Michael Lopez had a 25-yard interception return for the Panthers, and DJ Baylor had one for 11 yards.
