WINCHESTER, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball game to Shenandoah University today on the road, falling 94-59 at James R. Wilkins Jr. Athletics and Event Center.

THE BASICS
Shenandoah and Ferrum played evenly early in the first quarter, with Aisha Martin's jumper making it a 6-5 score in favor of the Hornets at the 6:33 mark. Shenandoah then went on an 18-4 run to end the quarter on top, 24-9.
Ferrum looked strong in the second quarter, outscoring the Hornets 22-20. Kayla Cabiness had a pair of three-pointers and three free throws, Martin had a pair of three-pointers, Camille Mangum had two layups and DeMeisha Canada had a jumper for the Panthers. Shenandoah held a 44-31 lead at the break.
The Hornets too strong in the second half, outscoring Ferrum 50-28 to close the game. Cabiness led all scorers with 19 points on 5-16 shooting from the floor. Sarah Sondrol had 18 points to lead Shenandoah to the ODAC win. Shenandoah controlled the glass, outrebounding Ferrum 51-34 for the game.
