FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College's Women's basketball team dropped an ODAC home game against Washington and Lee University this afternoon, falling 88-58 at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
A Camille Mangum jumper gave Ferrum an early 7-3 lead. Washington and Lee responded with two baskets from Ana Dorta and Kathryn Vandiver to knot things up a 7-7 early in the first quarter. W&L took the lead just before the quarter ended, after a Ferrum turnover led to a Emma Robertson layup, to give the Generals a 17-15 lead.
The Generals opened the second quarter on an 11-2 run, giving them a 28-17 lead just three minutes into the quarter. An Aisha Martin jumper would pull the Panthers to within three, 34-31. Over the final two minutes of the half, W&L used an 8-0 run to give them a 42-31 at the half.
Washington and Lee started the third quarter off with an 11-0 run, giving them a 21 point lead just three minutes into the quarter. The Generals outscored Ferrum 28-8 in the third quarter, giving them a 70-39 lead.
Ferrum used a 13-1 run to start the fourth quarter, cutting the deficit to 71-52. Washington and Lee would outscore the Panthers 17-6 to close out and game and walk away with a ODAC win on the road. General's Megan Horn led all scorers with 20 points this afternoon.
