Calvin Washington had 24 points and
Deshone Hicks had 23 points, but Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men's basketball game to Bridgewater College, falling 76-69 this afternoon at Nininger Hall.

THE BASICS
Hicks hit a jumper at 14:55 to give Ferrum an 11-4 advantage, then drilled a three-pointer t 11:31 to extend the lead to 16-6. The Eagles went on a 9-0 run to make it a 16-15 game at 8:20.
Bridgewater then used an 11-4 run to go out in front 26-20 with three minutes left in the first half. Hicks' two free throws with 1:02 left put Ferrum back out in front 28-27 at the break.
Alec Topper's layup ay 16:54 put the Eagles on top 34-32 early in the second half. The score remained close most of the second half until Washington's layup with 4:16 remaining gave the Panthers a seven-point lead at 64-57. Shod Smith's layup with 1:21 left in regulation put Bridgewater back out in front for good at 67-66, and the Eagles hung on from there for the league win.
