THE BASICS
A Shelby Waltrip kill put Ferrum up 7-1 in the first set and the Panthers held on for a 1-0 set lead. In the second set, a botched Guilford setting attempt made the score 7-7. The Quakers then used an 18-7 run to close out the set and tie the match at a set each.

Waltrip and Alex Christoff had back-to-back kills midway through the third set to put Ferrum on top 14-13. Guilford rallied from that point, posting a 12-7 run to win the set and go out in front, two sets to one.

The Quakers led early in the fourth, but Ferrum battled back. An Airiana Beverley kill trimmed the deficit to one point to 20-19, but Guilford finished a 5-2 run from there to close out the match.
