FERRUM, Virginia -- The Ferrum College football team fell to #9 nationally ranked Randolph-Macon College 49-16 on Senior Day at W.B. Adams Stadium this afternoon.

RECORDS

THE BASICS
Randolph-Macon's first drive was set up by a 24 yard punt return and a 27 yard pass from Drew Campanale to Jojo Marinella, setting up Kwesi Clark's 13 yard touchdown. After forcing a three and out, the Yellow Jackets used a seven play 80 yard drive that was topped off by a Nick Hale two yard touchdown run, extending the lead to 14-0.

RMC was threatening to score, but a great defensive play by Avion Smith forced a fumble, which was recovered by Cameron Ross at the Ferrum two yard line. The Yellow Jackets took over possession in Panther territory, needed only four plays to score on a Hale's second touchdown of the game. RMC drove 98 yards with less than a minute left, with Campanale hitting Cullen Martin for a 13 yard touchdown pass as time expired, taking a 28-0 lead at halftime.

After Jason Moore returned the second half kickoff to midfield, Clark capped off an eight play, 50 yard drive to extend the Yellow Jackets lead to 35-0. The Panther defense stepped up again and forced the second turnover of the game, Hunter Cannaday jarred the ball loose and Tyree Barton returned to all the way to RMC's 25 yard line.

After a few short pass completions by Chase Altis, Jahylen Lee found the back of the endzone from four yards out. Braxton Hughes faked the extra point, taking the snap straight up the middle for the two-point conversion. RMC responded with another touchdown of their own on the next drive, Cameron Chatmon punched it in form 21 yards out for a 42-8 lead.

On the second play of the fourth quarter Altis connected with Jarrod Mosby for a 52 yard pass, setting up Lee's second touchdown of the day, this one from just a yard out. The Panthers went with another trick play, Hughes pitched rolled left and pitched it to kicker Seth Deaton who found the endzone for the two-point conversion. Detric Brown punched it in for a two yard score for the Yellow Jackets, putting them up 49-16 late in the fourth quarter.
