FERRUM, Virginia – The Ferrum College football team dropped it's ODAC home opener, 38-3 to Shenandoah University this afternoon at W.B. Adams Stadium.

The Basics
On the first drive of the game, Shenandoah's Steven Hugney pass to Keshawn Toran for a seven yard score to lead 7-0. Scott Martin's field goal extended the Hornets lead to 10-0. Hugney found Broden Domenico for an 11-yard score to go up 17-0. Hugney tossed his third touchdown of the half with a 29-yard score, to put Shenandoah up 24-0.
Seth Deaton hit a 30 yard field goal, to cut the deficit to 24-3, with less than a minute remaining in the half.
Late in the third quarter, quarterback
Braxton Hughes was hit resulting in a fumble which was recovered and carried into the endzone for a Hornet's touchdown making it 30-3 game. Shenandoah closed out the game with one more score on a 34 yard rush by Jalen Redfearn.
