FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College handed visiting North Carolina Wesleyan University an 82-54 men's basketball lost this afternoon at Swartz Gym. The Panthers led 41-27 at the break and never looked back in taking the non-conference game and remaining unbeaten at 3-0.

THE BASICS
N.C. Wesleyan came out hot in the opening minutes of the game with back-to-back-to-back shots from Marquis Eskew to take a 6-2 lead at 15:21.
Bryant Wall had a pair of baskets and
Charles Tart III converted a pair of free throws to make it an 8-8 game at 13:05.
The Battling Bishops used 7-2 run over the next three minutes to grab a 15-10 lead. The Panthers answered with a 21-6 spurt that put them in front 31-20 with 3:30 remaining in the first half. Ferrum closed the half with a tip-in from
Alfredo Abel-Rivera and a three-pointer from
Kyree Ellis to make it a 41-27 lead at the break.
A 9-2 run by Ferrum to open the second half set the tone as the Panthers gradually began to pull away. Ferrum's largest lead was 28 points, on Abel-Rivera's jumper with 1:07 remaining in the game to close out scoring.
