Alfredo Abel-Rivera had a game-high 19 points to lead Ferrum College to a non-conference men's basketball win at home over Carolina Christian College, 104-51 this afternoon at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
Carolina Christian led 10-9 early in the game on Christian Briggs' off-the-glass three-point basket at 14:13 of the first half. An 8-0 run by the Panthers got the lead back on
Ahmil Flowers' three-pointer two minutes later, making in a 17-10 Ferrum lead and the Panthers never trailed never trailed the rest of the game. Ferrum closed the half on top 42-32.
The Panthers opened the second half with a 22-4 run in the first five minutes of play, with
Charles Tart III's fast break dunk making it 64-36 at the 15:01 mark.
Braylon Collins' fast break steal and fast break layup gave Ferrum its largest lead of the game, 53 points, with nine seconds left in the game.
