FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College picked up an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men's basketball win over University of Lynchburg this afternoon at home, winning 93-61 at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
The Panthers trailed 10-9 at 16:18 mark of the first half, but used a 16-5 run to take the lead and slowly began pull away over the next five and a half minutes.
Tae Allen's jumper at 10:49 o the first half made it a 25-15 game, and Ferrum eventually expanded the lead to 37-21 at the break.
The Panther lead grew to 36 points midway through the second half, when Alfredo Aleb-Rivera was fouled at the 10:49 mark and sank a pair of free throws to make it a 70-34 game.
SCHOOL RECORD
The Panthers set a new school record for three-pointers in a single game today with 17. The previous record at 16 was done four times, most recently against Washington and Lee University on January 18, 2023. Nine players hit at least one three-pointer, including
Charles Tart III and
Zavier Measmer, who had three each from downtown.
