BANNER ELK, N.C. -- Ferrum College salvaged a tie with Lees-McRae College in Conference Carolinas men's soccer action tonight on the road, with a final 1-1 score this afternoon at Tate Field.

THE BASICS
Lees-McRae struck first with an unassisted goal by Landon Robbins at the 38-minute mark.
Ferrum wasted little time in evening the count at 1-1, with
Chase LaSasso sending a ball into the back of the net at 41:41. The two teams played scoreless in the second half to end in a tie, the fifth draw this season for the Bobcats.
HOMECOMING
The game was a Homecoming of sorts for Ferrum Head Coach
Matt Cureton and Assistant Coach
James Morgan, who graduated from Lees-McRae in 2015 and 2018, respectively. It was the first time either has coached against his alma mater.Â
