KERNERSVILLE, N.C. -- Ferrum College competed in the 2025 Conference Carolinas Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships, held this afternoon at Ivey Redmond Sports Complex. The Panther women placed 10th in a field of 14 teams, while the men were 13th of 15 teams.

Lees-McRae's Megan Knapp was first in the women's 6K race with a time of 22:25.03, with Hailey Morgan of Mount Olive finishing second at 22:55.20. Ferrum's Carly Carwile led the Panthers with time of 25:11.23 to place 29th in a field of 109 runners.

UNC-Pembroks's Edward CArney grabbed top honors in the men's 8K race with a time of 25:45.74, while Lees-McRae's Josh Brett was second at 25:46.76. Ferrum's top runner was Damani Veney-Epps with a time of 28:19.51 to finish 56th in a field of 151 runners.
