FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College hosted University of Mount Olive tonight in Conference Carolinas women's soccer action, falling 4-1 at Penn-Roediger Field.

THE BASICS
Mount Olive drew first blood when Riley Booth took a cross from Tayna Granholm and sent it into the top right corner of the Ferrum net for the early lead just 2:44 into the game. Jada Turner made it a 2-0 lead when she slipped a ball into the upper left side of the Panther net at the 35:31 mark.Â
Sierra Criner converted a PK with 30 seconds left in the first half for the 3-0 lead at the break. Charlotte Benson scored for the Trojans in the 71st minute of play, placing a shot into the lower right side of the net for an unassisted goal.
Jaden Heirs broke up the shutout with a goal for Ferrum in the 86th minute of play when she took a pass from
Macy Taylor and slotted it into the lower left side of the Mount Olive net.
