Panthers Win Big On Senior Day

FERRUM, Virginia – The Ferrum College women's lacrosse team beat Randolph College 21-1 in their final regular season game. Freshman Lana Barkovic led the Panthers with five goals

THE BASICS
Ferrum jumped out to a 7-0 first quarter lead and never looked back. Ashtyn Bishop scored two of her four goals in the first quarter. The Panthers out shot the Wildcats 40 to 11. Maggie Cass scored two of her three goals in the second period as the Panthers built a 14-1 lead at halftime.

The second half was more of the same with the Panthers outscoring Randolph 7-1. Seven different Panthers scored. Micaiyah Dickerson and Faith Feazell each scored a hat trick. Caroline Kelley played a solid game, scoring two goals and dishing out one assist. Cayden West played all 60 minutes in goal, allowing one goal and recording four saves, earning her seventh win of the season.

Prior to today's game, Ferrum honored their two seniors, Ashtyn Bishop and Makaila Veney, on their outstanding contributions to the Ferrum lacrosse program. Both are set to graduate in May. Veney will graduate with her Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance. Bishop will graduate with her Masters in Psychology.
