MURFREESBORO, N.C. -- Ferrum College's women's soccer team fell this afternoon to Chowan University in Conference Carolinas play, losing 1-0 on a penalty kick at Chowan Soccer/Lacrosse Complex.

Laura Hulme was fouled inside the box in the 33rd minute of play and awarded a penalty kick, which she converted to give Chowan the only score of the Conference Carolinas game.
