TIGERVILLE, S.C. -- Ferrum College's men's basketball team dropped a Conference Carolinas game today at North Greenville University, falling 75-71 this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium.

THE BASICS
Gerren Jones' three-pointer at 13:35 of the first half gave Ferrum a 16-11 lead.
Alfredo Abel-Rivera's layup of 10:15 extended the Panthers' lead to 25-17, but NGU battled back to trim the lead to 40-38 at the break.
The second half was tight, with North Greenville holding a few five-point leads. The Trailblazers led 72-68 with 2:29 left in the game.
Rodrigo Farias was fouled and made one of two free throws with 43 seconds remaining in regulation to get the lead down to 72-69. Savion Brown hit a 10-foot jumper from the right side with 20 seconds left to push NGU's lead to 74-69.
Jones was fouled attempting a three-pointer with 13 seconds left and knocked down two of three free throws to get the lead down to 74-71. Carter Bobbitt was fouled right away and hit one of two free throws, and North Greenville hung on for the win.
