FINAL RESULTS

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Ferrum College's men's and women's track teams competed Friday and Saturday at the VMI Winter Relays, held at the Corps Physical Training Facility. Tha Panthers had a solid day, including four top-10 finishes. 

THE BASICS
Jahmal Jones had a new PR in winning the men's 60m dash with a time of 6.74, and also placed sixth in the men's 200m in a time of 21.87. Jones earned All-America in the 100m abd 200m at last year's NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Nationals Championships.

Zenallah Hatcher-Simmons finished second in the women's shot put with a 13.21m distance. Nadiyah Abdussalaam competed in the women's indoor pentathlon, where she placed seventh in the shot put with a PR 9.27m.

Posting season best performances were Deontae Lawson in the men's 60m and the men's 200, Peter Barnett and Josh Mills in the men's 800m, Miyah Young in the women's 800m, Zyreonia Patterson and Dezyre Christian in the women's long jump and Christian in the women's triple jump. 

PRs were also recorded by Patterson and Christian in the women's 60m, Josiah Gallegos in the men's 400m, Sarah Hudgins in the women's 800m and Carlos Menendez in the men's mile,
