FERRUM vs. MOUNT ST. MARY'S
Ferrum opened the day with a commanding performance against Mount St. Mary's. Quarterback Payson Shreeve paced the offense, throwing five touchdown passes and ripping the Mountaineers' defense for 364 passing yards. Ferrum built a 20-0 halftime lead and never looked back, while the defense stifled the opposition and generated pressure all afternoon. Breyanna Kimmons caught three touchdowns in the opener.

The Panthers' offensive execution was especially effective through the air, as they spread the ball to multiple receivers and kept the Mount St. Mary's defense on its heels. Meanwhile, Ferrum's defense recorded nine sacks and limited the Mountaineers to just one touchdown in the fourth quarter.
