FERRUM, Va. — Ferrum College went 2-0 on Saturday, March 21, winning both of its women's flag football contests. The Panthers opened with a dominant 32-6 victory over Mount St. Mary's, then closed the day with a 14-0 shutout of Emmanuel College.

FERRUM vs. MOUNT ST. MARY'S
Ferrum opened the day with a commanding performance against Mount St. Mary's. Quarterback Payson Shreeve paced the offense, throwing five touchdown passes and ripping the Mountaineers' defense for 364 passing yards. Ferrum built a 20-0 halftime lead and never looked back, while the defense stifled the opposition and generated pressure all afternoon. Breyanna Kimmons caught three touchdowns in the opener.
The Panthers' offensive execution was especially effective through the air, as they spread the ball to multiple receivers and kept the Mount St. Mary's defense on its heels. Meanwhile, Ferrum's defense recorded nine sacks and limited the Mountaineers to just one touchdown in the fourth quarter.

In their evening contest, Ferrum relied on a strong second half to blank Emmanuel 14-0. After a scoreless first half, the Panthers broke through behind another clutch effort from Shreeve, who scored on an 8-yard run and later added a second touchdown in the fourth quarter on a pass the Samantha Pitzer. Ferrum's defense was exceptional, forcing Emmanuel into negative rushing yardage and preventing any scoring opportunities.
