FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped a pair of Conference Carolinas softball games at home to Barton College, falling 3-1 in the opener and 2-1 in the nightcap at Vickie Van Kleeck Field.

GAME ONE
Barton picked up a run in the third inning and two in the fourth to grab the 3-0 lead. Abby Bradberry walked with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth inning to allow Carly Constantino cross the plate and break up the shutout.

GAME TWO
Mackenzie Holloway's two-run homer in the sixth inning of game two gave the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead. Sophia Peters singled down the right field line in the bottom of the sixth to allow Laci Garrett to score. Starting pitcher Emily Bobo pitched a complete game for the Bulldogs, striking out 12 batters.
