FERRUM, Va. -- The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) organization has announced the 2025-26 Academic All-State Team, and Ferrum College has six honorees.

To be named Academic All-State, a student-athlete must hold at least sophomore academic standing, maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.25, and compete on a sponsored varsity team. Each participating college or university in the Commonwealth of Virginia is limited to selecting six honorees annually.

Earning honors for the Panthers were Gabriel Alvarez (men's tennis), Erin Harden (women's tennis), Breanna Herlihy (women's soccer), Gerren Jones (men's basketball), Garrett Pancione (baseball) and Makaila Veney (women's lacrosse).

Veney is a three-time Academic All-State selection, having also earned the honor in 2023-24 and 2024-25. She was also a four-time All-Conference selection during her Ferrum career.
Jones was an Academic All-American and a first-team All-Conference selection this season. Herlihy was an All-Conference selection last fall.
