Ashton Funderburg joined the Ferrum athletics staff as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach in August 2024. She came to Ferrum after serving a year as Women's and Men's Basketball Graduate Assistant at Seton Hill University.
At Seton Hill, Funderburg helped with player development, Synergy breakdowns, recruiting, scouting, social media and graphics using Canva and Box Out Sports, gameday operations, video production and press conferences.
A four-year player at Concord University, Funderburg earned Academic All-Conference with the Griffins in 2020-21 and 2021-22.
Funderburg earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications from Concord in 2023, with a minor in Sport Management.
