Erick Cox '13

Erick Cox joined the Ferrum staff as Head Golf Coach in October 2018. A former four-year golfer for the Panthers from 2010-13, Cox will be in charge of the Ferrum men’s and women’s programs. Cox earned Academic All-Conference honors in the USA South four times, and was named to the USA South Men’s Golf All-Sportsmanship Team in 2013.  Cox earned his Bachelor of Science from Ferrum in 2013, majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology. He and his wife Nicole, also a Ferrum graduate, live in Fancy Gap, Virginia.

After leaving Ferrum, Cox worked two years as Shop Attendant at Primland Golf Resort in Meadows of Dan, Virginia. He was a police officer in Mount Airy, North Carolina, for 18 months before spending the past two years as Assistant Golf Pro at Olde Mill Golf Resort in Laurel Fork, Virginia. While at Olde Mill, he also served as Head Golf Coach at Carroll County High School in Carroll, Virginia.
