Alexis Anderson came to Ferrum in July 2024 from Miles University, where she spent a year as Senior Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator for the NCAA Division II Golden Bear athletic program, competing in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Prior to Miles, Anderson spent two years as Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at Livingstone College, an NCAA Division II school competing in the Central Collegiate Athletic Association.
In her role at both schools, Anderson was responsible for ensuring compliance with rules and regulations of the NCAA, SIAC and CIAA. While at Livingstone, she also served as the Vice President for the CIAA Compliance Administrators.
Prior to Livingstone, Anderson served 18 months as the compliance coordinator at Grambling State University. Before her full-time administrative appointment within the GSU athletic department, she served as a graduate assistant for compliance while pursuing her Master's degree in Sports Administration.
Anderson is a 2018 graduate of Allen University with a degree in Biology. She holds professional membership in the National Association for Athletics Compliance, where she was selected as a DII Rising Star Award recipient in 2023.
In April 2025, Anderson took on additional duties as Ferrum's Senior Woman Administrator.
