Rayshawn Dixon joined Ferrum's wrestling coaching staff as Assistant Coach in October 2025, following a stellar career on the mat. Dixon completed an incredible run for the Panthers in 2005, earning his third trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament and his second All-America finish. He closed out his career with a stellar 133-30 record, including 37 pins.
Dixon's 133 victories is a school record for career wins. He won a school record 13 individual tournament titles, including NCAA Regional championships in 2024 and 2025, and holds Ferrum's school record for Old Dominion Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors in all sports with 10.
Dixon earned All-America in 2024 when he placed fifth at the NCAA Division III National Championships at 285 pounds. He earned All-America again in 2025 with his fourth-place finish at the NCAA Tournament. Dixon was also named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association Scholar All-American Team in 2005.
Dixon earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Health & Human Performance with a minor in Coaching from Ferrum in May 2025.
