FERRUM, Va. -- The Ferrum College men's basketball team picked up a 76-72 non-conference win over Emory & Henry College this evening at Swartz Gym.

Nick English led the Panther's with 20 points on 8-11 shooting from the floor. English was perfect from the line going 4-4, and added two rebounds and a pair of steals.

Derek Mitchell had his fifth double-double in six outings this season, posting 17 points and 17 rebounds. Daryl Hart added 16 points and Henry Hall had 13 points. Ferrum out rebounded the Wasps 37-32, and went 21-23 from the line.

Emory & Henry (1-4) got 18 points and Seven rebounds from JD Dyson, both team highs. Josh Cunnigham and Terrance Grigg added 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Ferrum (2-4) returns to action Saturday, Dec. 5, at Lancaster Bible College. The non-conference tips off at 3 p.m. in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
