FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College led by one at halftime but broke it open in the second half en route to a 72-52 non-conference men's basketball win over Covenant (Ga.) College this afternoon at home.
Lamont King had a game-high 19 points in helping Ferrum win its fifth straight game.
Daryl Hart added 16 points, including three basketas from behind the three-point line.
Marcus Mayo had 11 points to go with 12 assists and four steals.
Nick English had 12 points and five rebounds.
Callum Sears had 13 points for the Saints (4-8), and Colton McGriff had 12 points. Covenant won the battle of the boards 29-26.
Ferrum (7-4) returns to action Wednesday, January 4, at home against Greensboro College. The USA South opener for both teams gets ubnderway at 7:30 p.m. at Swartz Gym.
