Marshall Hamilton led all scorers with 17 points as Ferrum College beat Emory & Henry College 71-66 in non-conference men's basketball action tonight on the road. Ferrum overcame a two-point halftime deficit, taking its first second-half lead at 10:47 on a pair of
Jordan Mann free throws. Ferrum grabbed its largest lead at 62-50 with just over five minutes left in regulation on a three-point basket by
J.D. Wallace.
Lamont King had 14 points, while
Jamal Pullen and Wallace had 10 points each for the Panthers. Armando Murrell had 16 points and Stephen Brown had 14 for the Wasps (0-2). Ferrum (2-1) returns to action Sunday, Nov. 25, at home against Randolph-Macon College. The non-conference game tips off at 2 p.m. in Swartz Gym and will be the home-opener for Coach Bill Tharp's team.
