FERRUM, Va. --
Matt Reynolds went 2-3 with a double, a run and an RBI as Ferrum dropped a 6-3 baseball game to USA South Athletic Conference newcomer LaGrange College tonight at Panther Field.
Justin Cox went 1-4 with a double and an RBI.
Chris Walker got the loss, allowing nine hits, two earned runs and three walks over eight innings, with six strikeouts for Ferrum (8-14, 3-13 USA South).
Adam Duncan pitched the final uinning, allowing one hit and no runs or walks, while striking out three batters, all looking.
Starter Robby Williams got the win for LaGrange (11-9, 9-7 USA South). He pitched six innings, allowing six hts two earnes runs and two walks, with four strikeouts. Kenneth Strack earned the save, throwing the final three innings without giving up a run.
The two teams were scheduled to play one game each Saturday and Sunday, but potential inclement weather forecast in the Ferrum area for Sunday has forced a schedule change. Ferrum and LaGrange will play a doubleheader Saturday, starting at 4:00 p.m. at Panther Field.
