FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College picked up a pair of USA South Athletic Conference baseball wins over visiting LaGrange College tonight at Panther Field.  The wins avenged last night's 6-3 loss to LaGrange.

Wes Walker had a solo homer in the fourth inning of the opener.  Jake Perkins pitched eight innings to get the win, striking out eight.  Matt Reynolds went 4-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI.  Justin Cox, Trey Laney, Brennan Iley and Eddie McGrath all had two base hits.

In the nightcap, Reynolds had a solo homer in the sixth inning, and Laney went 2-4 with a run for the Panthers.  Tyler Easterly picked up the complete game win, pitching nine innings with five strikeouts.

Brent Kinsey had a pair of hits for LaGrange (11-11, 9-9 USA South) in game one.  Josh Shiver had two in game two.  Ferrum (10-14, 5-13 USA South) is back in action Wednesday night, March 20, at home against Southern Virginia University.  The non-conference game gets underway at 7:00 p.m. at Panther Field.
