FERRUM, Va. -- Bradley Robinson had 25 points and 14 rebounds to lead Averett University to an 85-77 USA South men's basketball win over Ferrum College tonight at Swartz Gym.
Carter Jones added 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Trevor West had 10 points for the Cougars (11-9, 8-2 USA South). Averett out-rebounded Ferrum 51-32.
The Panthers had five players in double figures, led by
Alek Ayer's 17 points.
Jamal Pullen and
Tyler Mann had 16 points each,
Brian Clarke had 12 points, and
Rashawn Speas had 10 points. Ferrum led 45-39 at the break.
Ferrum (7-12, 3-6 USA South) will be in action at home this Saturday and Sunday, Febrauary 8-9, in a pair for USA South games. On Saturday, the Panthers host Methodist University at 4 p.m. On Sunday, Coach Bill Tharpe's team will host North Carolina Weselyan College at 3 p.m.
