SAINT MARY'S CITY, Maryland -- Ferrum College's men's basketball team fell 74-62 to host St. Mary's College of Maryland this afternoon in the title game of the Dan Greene and Wayne Cook Memorial Invitational, held at Michael P. O'Brien ARC Arena.

THE BASICS
The Seahawks jumped out to an 11-3 lead four minutes into the game. The Panthers answered with a 10-1 run to grab a 13-12 lead on a pair of
Tahli Oden free throws at 13:32. Several lead changes occurred throughout the rest of the first half, with St. Mary's taking a 35-27 lead at the break.
Jordan Goodwin's three-pointer and Gary Grant's layup in the first 90 seconds of the second half extended the lead to 40-27. Ferrum trimmed the lead to 44-41 on
Calvin Washington's layup at 14:43. The host Seahawks went on an 7-0 run to push the lead back to 51-41 and the Panthers never got closer than that.
