Late Rally Lifts Greensboro Past Ferrum

GREENSBORO, North Carolina -- Ferrum College's men's basketball team dropped a heartbreaker to Greensboro College this afternoon on the road, falling 62-59 at Hanes Gymnasium. The Pride used a late rally to post the comeback win.

THE BASICS
Greensboro led 12-8 early on, including a pair of jumpers by Matthew Brown. Ferrum's Deshone Hicks knocked down a three-pointer at 5:48 to break a 20-20 tie and put the Panthers out in front, 23-20, en route to a 30-25 halftime lead.

Following a 41-41 tie at the 13:40 mark of the second half, te Panthers began to distance themselves from Greensboro, starting with a Johnny Franklin three-pointer. Hicks made a jumper at 6:23 to give Ferrum its largest lead of the game at 58-49.

Greensboro went on a furious 13-1 rally from there to post the comeback win. Kevon Wright had six points during the Pride's late run, and eventually closed the game with 17 points.
