LEXINGTON, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped an Old DOminion Athletic Conference (ODAC) football game this afternoon at Washington and Lee University, falling 41-16 at W&L's Wilson Field.

THE BASICS
Washington and Lee's Stephen Murrin scored a pair of first-quarter touchdowns on runs of one and two yards. Anthony Crawford then matched Murrin's feat with touchdown runs of one and nine yards in the second quarter for a 28-0 lead at the break. Marcus Payne added a two-yard scoring run midway through the third quarter to extend the Generals' lead to 34-0.
Braxton Hughes had a pair of touchdowns runs for Ferrum in the fourth quarter, at 14:29 and 9:21, to break up the shutout and trim the score to 34-14. Michael Schoenberg added a 14-yard scoring run for Washington and Lee at 8:51 on the fourth quarter. Five and a half minutes later, the Generals fumbled in their own enz zone and recovered the ball for a Ferrum safety with 3:17 left to play.
