STAUNTON, Virginia -- The Ferrum College men's basketball team outscored Mary Baldwin University by 14 points in the second half, en route to a 67-55 non-conference victory tonight.

THE BASICS
Mary Baldwin started the game on a 15-3 run over the five and half minutes of the half.
Jikari Johnson knocked down two free throws,
Darwin Randolph and
Alfredo Abel-Rivera scored 4 points each, cutting the lead to 15-13 with 10:23 left in the first half. Abel-Rivera gave Ferrum their first lead of the game after a put back layup with 6:51 remaining in the half. The Squirrels took the lead 26-24 with 3:14 on the clock and lead at halftime 30-28.
 The Panthers came out hot in the second half, going on a 16-3 run taking a 44-33 lead, one they did not lose the rest of the game.
Bryant Wall scored 9 of his game high 18 points during the scoring run and
Jikari Johnson added five points. Ferrum's defense held Mary Baldwin to 0-8 shooting, forcing five turnovers, proved to be the pivotal moment of the game. The Panthers defense came up big in a 10-3 run with six minutes left in the game, holding the Squirrels to just 1-6 shooting from the field.
Tahli Oden scored the final six points for Ferrum, going 4-4 from the charity stripe to close out the win.
