FERRUM, Virginia -- The Ferrum College men's basketball team dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game on senior day to #17 Hampden-Sydney College, 82-77. Before the game started Ferrum's three seniors were honored.

Deshone Hicks gave Ferrum a 6-2 lead just two minutes into the game.
Calvin Washington's jumper extended the lead to double-digits, 16-6 with 12:36 left to play in the half. DJ Wright's three-pointer sparked an 8-0 run for Hampden-Sydney to cut the lead to 20-17. The Panthers maintained the lead the rest of the half, taking a 32-27 after one half of play.
Hicks scored 11 of Ferum's first 15 to start the half out strong and take a 47-33 with 15:46 to play in the game. Davidson Hubbard's layup cut the lead down to five, 47-42 with 12:20 to play. Adam Brazil's three-pointer with 4:08 left to play gave the tigers their first lead of the game, 68-67.
The Tigers used the momentum to go ahead 74-67 with two minutes to play. Hick's drilled a three-pointer to cut the lead to 74-70, with just over a minute remaining. Ryan Clements hit four free throws down the stretch to give Hampden-Sydney 82-75 lead with under 20 seconds to play.
