THE BASICS
Jikari Johnson converted the rare four point play, after being fouled on his three-point shot, giving Ferrum an early 4-2. Joshua Stephen's three-point basket gave Shenandoah the lead 9-6. The Panthers and Hornets traded baskets back and forth with the home team going ahead briefly before Ferrum answered with shot, tying things up multiple times.

Zavier Measmer's three-point make with 6:31 to go in the half gave Ferrum a 23-22 lead. That sparked a 9-0 run for the Panthers, holding a 29-23 advantage with three minutes to play before the half. Johnson converted a three-point play just before halftime, pushing the lead to 35-29 at the break.

Shenandoah started off the second half on a 14-0 over the first nine minutes of play, giving them a 43-35 lead. Johnson broke the Panthers scoring drought with a layup. Ferrum got things rolling on offense, outscoring the Hornets over the next five and half minutes, tying the game 47-47 with five minutes left in the game.

Johnson tied the game 52-52 with 40 seconds left in the game off of a put back on his own missed shot. Shenandoah took the lead on Davion Roberts three-pointer with 19 seconds left on the clock. Ferrum had a chance to tie the game, but the shot came up short and Jaylen Williams two free throws sealed the game for the Hornets.
