GREENSBORO, North Carolina -- The Ferrum College wrestling team posted four pins and three decisions in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win over Greensboro College, winning 33-14 tonight at Royce Reynolds Family Student Life Center Gym.

THE BASICS
Greensboro opened with 3-0 lead after a win at 125 pounds, but
Trent Proctor evened the score for Ferrum at 3-3 with a decision at 133 pounds. Greensboro defending national champ Josh Wilson picked up a tech fall at 141 pounds to bump the team score to 8-3.
Cameron Curva, this week's ODAC Wrestler of the Week, earned a 5-1 decision at 149 pounds to trim Greensboro's lead to 8-6.
A trio of freshman came through big in the next three weight classes, all posting pins.
Robert Owens Jr. (157 lbs) pinned Nick Menjivar in a time of 5:46,
Gabriel Cortes (165) needed just 2:20 to put away Ethan Kring, then
Avery Hall (174) took out Taalib Grier II at 4:32 to make the team score 24-8 in favor of the Panthers.
Joseph Toner (184) eked out a 9-7 win to make it 27-8, then Greensboro accepted up a forfeit at 197 pounds to trim the lead to 27-14.
Rayshawn Dixon (285), currently ranked #2 in the nation among NCAA Division III wrestlers, pinned #17 Jacob Barlow in a time of 2:35 to close out the night.
