FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College Director of Athletics Cleive Adams has announced the hiring of Alexis Hunt as the next Head Cheerleading Coach of the Panthers.
Hunt joins Ferrum after serving the past two years as an assistant coach at Franklin County High School. Where she helped individuals on the team improve their stunting and tumbling techniques, focusing on perfecting routines for competitions and gamedays.Â
"We are very excited about the addition of Alexis to our athletics staff," said Adams. "Alexis is committed to the growth of our cheer program. She provides a level of skill, enthusiasm, excitement, and an overall expectation of excellence that will prove to be extremely impactful to our program moving forward."

Following graduation, she was accepted into Radford University's School of Psychology, M.S./Ed.S and would go on to earn her Master's degree in 2023.Â
"I am thrilled that Director of Athletics Cleive Adams felt I would be a good fit for the role of Ferrum's Head Cheerleading Coach", stated Hunt. I am eager to hit the ground running by working to build and transform the cheer program. We are entering into our comeback years."Â
