ASHLAND, Virginia - Ferrum lost a close one on the road at ODAC leader Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets. The Yellow Jackets shot out to the early first quarter lead before the Panthers were able to battle back in the second quarter and take a one point lead in to halftime. Ferrum was up seven with just over a minute to go in the half, however, Randolph Macon knocked down two treys to narrow the Ferrum lead to 29-28 at the intermission. Junior

THE BASICS
The third quarter saw four ties and three lead changes. The Yellow Jackets were able to push the lead to four headed into the last quarter. The fourth quarter saw a drought by both teams until Cassell hit two free throws with just over five minutes left in the game to cut the Yellow Jackets lead to two. Despite the hard fought battle, Ferrum could never get closer than five in the remaining minutes. Ferrum had opportunities but their turnovers and Randolph Macons dominance on the boards proved to be too much to overcome. Graduate student

Randolph Macon was led by Juliana Park, who made four threes leading to a game high 16 points. Sam Smith scored 11 points. McKenzie Matheny came off the bench to contribute 10 points.
