Herlihy Second-Half Strike Lifts Ferrum Past Shorter

ROME, Ga. – The Ferrum College women's soccer team earned a hard-fought 1-0 Conference Carolinas road victory over Shorter University. The Panthers controlled possession throughout the game, out-shooting the Hawks 21-3.

THE BASICS
After a scoreless first half, Breanna Herlihy provided the breakthrough goal in the 53rd minute. This goal proved to be the game-winner for the Panthers, with Summer Stevens earning an assist.

Senior goalkeeper Ashli Wuss anchored the Ferrum defense, recording four saves to earn her third shutout of the season.
