FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped its men's tennis season opener this afternoon at home to Columbia (SC) College, falling 7-0 at Burrows-Skeens Tennis Courts.

THE BASICS
Today's match was the career coaching debut for Ferrum Head Coach Noah Hughes. Columbia grabbed all three doubles matches to open a 1-0 lead headed into singles play. The Koalas then proceeded to win all six singles matches to complete the road win. Ferrum's Gabriel Alvarez put up a battle before eventually falling to Columbia's Tiaan Jacobs 6-0, 7-5.
