MISENHEIMER, North Carolina -- Ferrum College opened its 2025 softball campaign with a pair of non-conference losses to Pfeiffer University, dropping the opener 5-1 and the nightcap 9-2 at Jack Ingram Field.

GAME ONE
Pfeiffer got all the runs it would need in the bottom of the first inning, scoring three to take the early lead.
Emily Hopper's double to left center in the top of the third inning allowed
Nicole Emerson to score for the Panthers, but the Falcons picked up a run in the bottom of the frame and one in the fourth to close out scoring.
GAME TWO
In game two, Pfeiffer scored a pair of runs in the third inning and three in the fourth to grab a 5-0 lead. Ferrum picked up a pair of runs in the sixth on
Kaylee Hughes' two-run bomb over the left field fence, but the Falcons added four runs in the bottom of the sixth for the final 9-2 count.
